The ENSAR2 project, within the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, offers financial support for external users of the ISOLDE facility. For more information about this financial support and the application procedure please see http://isolde.web.cern.ch/financial-support .
This workshop aims to discuss and identify the best physics cases for next year's beam time. Short presentations will be given where the physics cases of experiments are revisited, and the running conditions and limitations are presented. The building of the HIE-ISOLDE project continues and good results pave the way for our future.

Low-energy Coulomb excitation is one of the rare methods available to obtain information on static electromagnetic moments of short-lived excited nuclear states including non-yrast states. In the scattering of two nuclei, the electromagnetic field that acts between them causes their excitation. The process selectively populates low-lying collective states and is therefore ideally suited to study nuclear collectivity.
An article about the ISOLDE WITCH experiment has been posted on the CERN website. See http://home.cern/about/updates/2015/10/witch-hunt-nearing-end-cern
The ISOLDE Workshop and Users meeting 2015 will be take place at CERN from 2nd to 4th December.
This annual event aims to bring together the present and prospective ISOLDE user community to review the status of the ISOLDE experimental programme and to discuss future plans and ideas.
Prizes, donated by CAEN, will be awarded for the best talks by young researchers as well as the best posters presented at the workshop poster session.
For more details see the workshop website http://indico.cern.ch/event/437713/ .
On 24th June 2015 CERN will change its mobile phone provider. Hence, from this date onwards, to call a mobile CERN phone number from outside CERN, remove the 16 and add +41 74 411 to the beginning of the number.
MEDICIS is featured in the latest edition of the UK News from CERN, a newsletter written by Stephanie Hills from the CERN Press Office.
It relates news and events with a UK twist or a UK perspective. In the case of MEDICIS, it is the involvement of NPL that is highlighted.
This newsletter is sent to all UK-affiliated CERN personnel, but also to the STFC and to the UK members of Parliament.
You can find the UK newsletter via http://www.stfc.ac.uk/3568.aspx
The “Jardin de Capucine”, a childcare facility established primarily for children of CERN personnel, including users, is very conveniently located only a few hundred meters from CERN’s entrance E (the «Charles de Gaulle Gate»), and offers childcare facilities for children from 4 months up to 4 years of age.
