Minutes from ISOLDE Physics Group meeting, 7th January 2016.

Technical news:

There was no ISOLDE technical meeting this week.

4000 L dewar.
- New valves already bought. Now needs to be certified and tested by CERN.
  - (followed up by…..)
- An auto delivery system obtained a few years ago was way too expensive (although a new quote may be asked for).
He leak detector.
- It needs to be repaired again, before start of beam time.
  - Vladimir will make contact the repair company located at SM18 (they made the previous repair 6 month ago).
Cleaning campaign around the experimental areas at the ISOLDE hall.
- Monday @ 14:00h
The Cryo-module is ready to be moved out. Please make sure the space is cleared in the SAS and around.
- The move will take place Friday morning.
Experimental value of setups (for the 5 year renovation of the ISOLDE MoU) needs to be updated this month.
- The investment per country per experiment needs updating.
Beam-time request will be advanced this year and it will be soon sent (next week).
- Schedule will be made most probably until middle of August.

SSP room cleaning/sorting is on-going.
The leaking roof has been inspected. Mostly leak in the electronic room. Next step is to repair.
- Equipment on floor may need to be shifted in order to access the roof.

The doors to the workshop on the inside were damaged by a delivery truck (Laura Wehner)
- Will be followed up regarding repair.

Kitchen still need water connections , The builder ASMIRA (eric@asmira.ch, has contracted “Entreprise Poisson” for the water connections.

Filter for the fume hood. (Maria volunteer to buy it).

Isolation of emergency doors (sarvadon will start the 20^th of January to put the bottom threshold of the doors and DIMENSIONE will do afterwards the isolation.
Water Circuit for labs, Aziz Amamou will start Monday the 18^th.

ISOLDE access:
- Remember to have all the needed courses updated for access. Both hands-on courses are needed for access.

ISOLDE Seminar:
- Please help suggest speakers.
A seminar/lecture on Nuclear Astrophysics will be given in February by the new Associate.
INTC proposal deadline 11^th Jan at noon.

There will be the next ISOLDE PG meeting at 14:00 the 13. Jan 2016.
