1. News from experiments:

· Successful measurements have been done on 178Tl looking for the mass distribution of the fission fragments.

· Collections of 83Rb and 7Be at GLM have been completed.

· Irradiation of PET foils with post-accelerated stable xenon and krypton have been done at the second REX beam line. These calibrations were requested by a group from Bose Institute, Kolkata, India. Thanks to Janne, Fredrik and Didier for all the work and support.

· The Coulomb-excitation experiment on 72Krwas unsuccessful. The yield of 72Kr rapidly decreased with time and was no-longer sufficient for completing the measurement. At the same time a large amount of 72Ge contamination was present, even though the target was equipped with a cold transfer line. Attempts to separate the Ge and Kr using the HRS were unsuccessful. The possibility of the diagnostic capabilities at the end of REX should be investigated.

2. A.O.B:

· There will be a safety visit on Monday 19-th at 8:30 am. All users are kindly asked to put order in their labs and around their equipment in the ISOLDE hall.

· The current condition of the mechanical workshop of ISOLDE is unsatisfactory in terms of safety. Therefore it is in DANGER of being closed. Members of the COLLAPS and ISOLTRAP teams will take care of cleaning and making order on Friday 16-th. Please, make sure that whenever you use the machines all traces of your work are carefully cleaned at the end. In the future there should be a careful monitoring of the condition of the workshop as a function of the person who uses it, and adequate measures have to be introduced in cases of negligence.

· Dr. N. Colonna (Istituto Nazionale Fisica Nucleare, Sezione di Bari, Italy) presented “The n_TOF project: neutron cross-sections for Astrophysics and Nuclear Technologies”.
