Minutes from the ISOLDE Physics Group Meeting 22 August 2013

Comments to the minutes from the ISOLDE Physics Group Meeting from August 15, 2013:

- Frank W. closed liquid He recovery lines to the WITCH, NICOLE and SSP experimental setups. The lines are still open to ISOLTRAP and REX. TECHNICAL NEWS:

- No technical meeting on 20 August 2013.

GENERAL ISOLDE:

- The cleaning of the hall will start on September 2 as scheduled. All users are asked to clean space around their experiments to allow for proper cleaning of the floor. Especially CRIS and COLLAPS users are asked to take the boxes from the floor and move them, if possible, to bld. 275.

- Julien T. is taking care of moving the chairs and tables in the experimental hall.

- Two Ge detectors are to be moved to the old SAS for the time of cleaning.

- The work connected to the mezzanine will start on September 23, 2013. The major cleaning of the hall is supposed to be finished by then.

- The new plans of the bld. 508 were presented during the meeting. They are available for inspection in Maria’s office.

- The deadline for abstract submission for the X Latin American Symposium on Nuclear Physics and Applications was extended till August 31, 2013. The symposium is held on December 1-6, 2013 in Montevideo, Uruguay (http://www.fing.edu.uy/if/lasnpa/).

- ISOLDE was donated many PC monitors from ALICE. Currently they are stored in the office 26-01-002. ISOLDE users are welcome to take as many monitors as they need. The rest will be stored in a proper place.

- The VITO workshop and collaboration meeting is held on September 6, 2013 at CERN, Geneva. The meeting is divided into two sessions: a) Morning session, where the physics will be presented and discussed (open for everyone) (Salle Dirac 40-S2-D01) b) Afternoon session – where the collaboration matters will be discussed (closed) Everyone is welcome to join the morning session. AOB:

- The meeting was followed by three summer student seminars: Pawel Baczyk, Maria Jesus Jimenez and Eva Zakoucka.

- Next PG meeting will take place exceptionally on Wednesday August 28, 2013 the usual place and time and it will be followed by four summer student seminars: Velerie Augustyn, Vasil Karayonchev, Bos Jeroen and Joao Silva.
