1. Technical news:
· Klaus Hanke reported on news from Chamonix meeting. LHC will be running on 2012 at 3.5GeV, long shutdown (19 month) scheduled starting in 2013. Whether it means full shutdown of ISOLDE is not know yet.
· Front-end change going as scheduled.
· Boris tube can hold 65kV.
· REX vacuum control system upgrade on-going, waiting for pumps.
· REX-TRAP upgrade going well.
· pA-meters waiting for new parts.
· New chillers mounted on top of laser cabin.
· T1 and T2 signals will have new hardware for this year’s campaign, software upgrade possibly next year.
· RF-group found a problem related to ISCOOL.
· Concerning smell at ISOLDE, problem seems mainly solved. Drains will be flushed again.
· Vacuum diagnostic leftover parts available at the ISOLDE extension (boxes next to movable lead wall), check if there is something useful for you.
2. A.O.B:
· Prof. Piet Van Duppen introduced as a new group member. He’ll spend 8 months as an associated scientist at ISOLDE.
· New coffee machine replaced the similar broken one in the visitor’s room.
· 1 experienced researcher and 8 early-stage researchers vacancies open in the Marie Curie CATHI network devoted to HIE-ISOLDE (see news on ISOLDE website).
· Summer student program was discussed; deadline for applications is 14th February. Priorities to be set at later date.
· GEANT4 simulations in low-energy nuclear physics to take place in 22-24 June 2011, nearby Bratislava, Slovakia.
· ISOLDE hall extension clean up on Monday 7th Feb at 13:30, everybody needed.
3. Seminars:
· Prof. P.-H. Heenan gave a talk on “The information about nuclear structure contained in binding energy differences: the example of delta Vpn”.
